Weight Calibration Services
Quality Control Services' State-of-the-art Metrology Laboratory is accredited by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) under Laboratory Code 115953 and Certificate1550.01. Our Metrologists are NIST certified for Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced Mass Metrology and participate in the Western Regional Measurement Assurance Program (WRAP) sponsored by the NIST Office of Weights and Measures.
Your weights will be compared to Standards calibrated by NIST at their highest level, with the lowest uncertainty attainable by private companies. The laboratory environment is controlled by a Liebert HVAC System that provides temperature and humidity control that exceeds NIST and NCSL requirements for Echelon 1 laboratories. Mettler and Sartorius Mass Comparator Balances are interfaced with computers using NIST Mass Calibration Software for the most accurate and error free results available.
NIST Traceable Certificates
ASTM Class 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 OIML Class E2, F1, F2, M1, M2, M3 and NIST Handbook 105-1 Class F Calibrations are available. Calibration Reports meet NIST and NCSL RP-11 requirements and include Mass and Apparent Mass Values along with the tolerance and a statement of the overall measurement uncertainty.
New or Replacement Weights
New weights and weight sets are available. Replacement weights can be ordered to match those in your set. In most cases, weights found out of tolerance can be cleaned and adjusted in our laboratory.
For questions or to schedule calibration services, please contact our lead Metrologist Jim Ross at telephone number 800-843-1237 or email to lab@qc-services.com.
