Thermometer Calibration

Quality Control Services' State-of-the-art Metrology Laboratory is accredited by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) under Laboratory Code 115953 and Certificate 1550.01.

Your thermometers will be calibrated using Direct comparison ASTM E 77 test methods and Ertco and Hart Scientific temperature baths that provide temperatures in the range of -40 to 200 degrees Centigrade.

NIST Traceable Certificate

Your thermometer will be compared to an Ertco/Hart Platinum Resistance Thermometer accurate to 0.001 degrees Centigrade with direct NIST Traceability calibrated by Hart Scientific (NVLAP Code 200348). Temperature calibration is based on the International Temperature Scale of 1990 (ITS-90) with measurement uncertainty calculated using NIST Technical Note 1297 with a K factor of 2 for an approximate 95% level of confidence. Certificates meet NIST and NCSL RP-11 requirements.

Thermometers are calibrated at 3 points using ASTM E1 recommended test points unless otherwise specified.

For questions or to schedule calibration services, please contact our lead Metrologist Jim Ross at telephone number 800-843-1237 or email to lab@qc-services.com.
